Rest and Self-care are so important but they're frequently the first thing to go in our daily routine. There's many reasons why taking time for ourselves takes the backseat; time, money, competing priorities, other family member’s needs or our beliefs can all result in putting ourself lower down the priority list.
But how can we help others if we’re running on empty?
Our bodies are amazing the way they give us signals but sometimes they're masked or not apparent as we become so busy and unable to see the wood for the trees. Maybe it's headaches, a foggy brain, digestive issues, aches and pains, lack of energy, loss of passion for life - these can all be the orange light on the dashboard.
Wellness is about taking a proactive (preventative) approach and not leaving it until the warning light starts flashing or worse still, we totally run out of "go" and stop or hit a brick wall AKA illness and di-ease.
